Damage at Vintner Pond

Vintner Pond on Vintner NE is piled two stories high with dirt. The dirt has been there unmarked and no fencing way too long complaints were made to the developer, Adele Rizzvi (spelling not correct but close) who purchased the pond from Bob Keeran of Llave Construction. If the last flash flood had hit this particular arroyo or just the dirt mountains the mud would have jeopardized the streets and the immediate homes. The residences are very concerned and have been extremely patient as well as the Vineyard Estates Neighborhood Association Board of Directors.
Vintner Pond located east of Ventura blvd. North of Corona between Corona & Wilshire NE flooding and mudslide potential. Infill project poorly planned and not executed properly. He has the same MO as the developer on Barstow and Signal. Project has been left in an abominable condition & dangerous. We have notified him of such a state. We are very concerned that the City rules for construction and development are not followed. Adele said he owns three homes in DR Horton's development, Desert Vista, where there are drainage problems as well.
All of these projects described to you were supported by the Vineyard Estates Neighborhood Association for development. The master drainage plans have worked for this are because other developers have implemented the City engineer's plans.

Thank you for your email on the subject issue described [above]. I have spoken with Mr. Rizvi on this issue. Apparently the approved grading plan for this site did not include fill on the west side of the existing pond. This will be rectified as soon as Adil can get a earth contractor for this issue, as you know, these types of contractors are very busy at this time.
Adil will need to adjust the grading plan, remove the fill on the west side of the ponding area. This fill may be moved to the east side of the pond in an interim condition. Storm drainage work to alleviate the need for this pond is anticipated in the next 4 weeks.
We did pursue the drainage concerns in the Desert Vista subdivision with Mr. Rizvi, as mentioned in latter part of your email. Mr. Rizvi is not aware of any issues regarding drainage in this area.
