Rain Damage

Recently, we have received nature's bounty in the form of frequent, significant rains. The good news is that it is adding much-needed water to the ground. The bad news is that some of the rains have been downpours.

When that happens in an area that is unaccustomed to a lot of rain, it can cause damage. This picture shows a section of wall which has separated from the remainder of the wall because the soil supporting it was washed away in a downpour.

This is a real hazard! It could fall over on someone. Even if it is not sufficiently unstable to do that, some children could decide they wanted to play on it, and unexpectedly bring it down!

Please be careful around such things, and if you think you are the first to notice it, please bring it to the attention of the VENA board. Thanks!
